Heather’s journey began in 2004 when she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Kentucky University. She went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at Vanderbilt University in 2007. Her early career included experience in cardiology, pulmonary care, and anesthesia, where she developed both strong clinical skills and a patient-centered approach. These years in acute and critical care gave her a solid foundation in human anatomy and overall well-being.
In 2018, Heather fully immersed herself in the transformative world of aesthetic medicine a field that sparked her deepest professional passion. Here, she discovered the perfect balance between her love of medical knowledge and the artistry of enhancing natural beauty. No longer just treating conditions, she now crafts subtle, harmonious enhancements that celebrate individuality, from precision injectables like Botox and fillers to advanced laser therapies and medical-grade skincare regimens. With 21 years of nursing excellence, Heather Heck is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with 18 years of experience and 7 years specializing exclusively in aesthetics. Makayla O'Dell
Makayla O’Dell is a Bowling Green native and proud graduate of Bowling Green High School. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Health Care Communication from the University of Kentucky in May 2023, where her studies strengthened her ability to listen, connect, and communicate with compassion. Her interest in wellness and love for helping others inspired her to pursue esthetics, and she is currently completing her training at the Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute. She will graduate in February 2026 as a licensed esthetician and is eager to begin serving clients at Alora.
Makayla’s personal journey with an autoimmune condition has shaped her passion for skincare. Having faced her own challenges with flare-ups, sensitivities, and pigmentation, she brings an empathetic perspective to every client she meets. Known for her calm presence, sweet and caring demeanor, and genuine concern for others, Makayla strives to make each patient feel comfortable, understood, and supported.
